Back in October of 2004, Gabe and I were having a conversation about politics and blogs. We both thought that it was very cool to have a space where you could write whatever you wanted and post links to anything on the internet. We then decided that this family could use a blog to better keep in touch. I had some free time online and some basic knowledge of setting up a blog, so I figured to go ahead and start The Meneses Spot.
After that you all did a great job of spreading the word that this was a place on the internet to keep us in touch. Many different family members have contributed posts, links, and especially pictures that have captured a lot of the going ons with the extended Meneses family.
Since the time this blog was started we have seen the family grow even bigger. There have been 13 second cousins born since the creation of this site back in November of 2004.
The blog continues to gather plenty of visitors, even with the growing popularity of Facebook. This site is no longer the quickest way to share information with the family, but is serves as a great archive for family memories.
I hope you enjoy visiting the Meneses Spot and look forward to many more updates, photos, and random posts from all of you.
