Relay For Life Today!

Sorry for the late notice!
Darrel's relay for life event is tomorrow. He will be doing the survivors lap at 9am at the COS track in Visalia. If you want to come out to support him, you might want to get there a little early to find parking. If you're really adventurous (or an insomniac) you can come cheer Connie AND Darrel on as the walk between 1am and 2am in the morning.

This is a pic from last year.

I was in bakersfield but it would have been cool to get out there! Did anyone make it out to the 1 am walk?

We had lots of fun this morning at the opening ceremony. Allison's family met us at COS, where I walked the opening lap. Everybody took a few laps with Connie and I, then the kids tried out various bounce houses, face painting, and spin the wheel games. Too bad none of us brought a working camera. I seem to be starting a second type of shirt collection, not as pretty as my hawaiian shirts, perhaps, but I'm going to get as many of these purple shirts as I can. I want to express my thanks and my love to every supporter, especially to Connie, who keeps encouraging me every day.

Hope the event went well and that you raised a ton of money. And for those who don't know what Relay for Life is all about, here's a reminder -- ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/1848 -- a short video about one woman’s “aha moment” when she realized the remarkable impact of Relay and the American Cancer Society and dedicated herself to doing all she could for the cause.

All the best,
