Yes, that was fresh Scallops pulled straight out of the ocean that I'm holding in my hand...then eating lol. I also tried to take the wheel and drive my first dive boat until the captain caught me! The last shot is of the Anacapa Islands we dove! Fun, fun!
Anacapa Islands are part of the Northern half of Islands that make up The Channel Islands off of Southern California. There are a ton of great dive spots off of the Islands with every type of marine life known to frequent or indigenous to California. Great Diving!
East Coast Meneses (Uncle Art) scallops are great to eat. You ought try them on the grill. Wrap it with a piece of thin sliced bacon held together with a wet toothpick, dipped in butter. I think you'll like it, NAt.
Art that sounds fantastic! Hey I heard that there's a hard-core group of divers in Main who dive super harsh conditions! Man you guys are all crazy over there! But I do want to try those scallops!

I love the pics, but am squeamish when it comes to eating raw fish. What if one day a giant scallop comes after you?
Haha! I guess I will just have to hide in my shell and spit sea water at him and hope he doesnt pull out his dive knife to pry me out!
