Apparently Greg and Nate have been going over the idea of a chess tournament on Christmas Eve. As far as details, I'm not exactly sure what they had in mind, but it sounds like a good idea. You should contact them to find out the rules and what you can bring. For those of you who aren't into chess (if you would admit to that) bring other games or whatever you want. I've been notified that this is a potluck so please bring something good, we'll be hungry.
Karaoke -- Alli is bringing a karaoke machine, she wants to set up a room for music. Be brave sing a song. Don't be embarrassed, we all make fun of each other anyway.

Nate and myself decided to set a few ground rules for the Chess Tournament, so below are some rules. Please feel free to ask questions or make suggestions.
To win a game you must either get your opponent into checkmate OR force them into a position where they cannot make ANY legal moves.
Stalemates can be declared when;
1. Only Kings remain on the board.
2. Each player has repeated the same move 8 times.
3. 25 turns(each player) have gone by without ANY pawn movement OR pawn capture.
"En Passat" will not be recognized as a legal move-( if you don't know what it is, well that's why it's illegal.)
Castling will be allowed and the King always moves 2 spaces during the Castling.
