Christmas Eve at the Grimsley

Hi everybody! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you are still enjoying all those left overs. :) Not wanting to add to our misery of full bellies but I hope it's not to early to share the menu for our Christmas Eve get together. Christmas Eve is on Friday. Is 6:00 P.M. to early to start, or would 7:00 P.M. be better? Let me know. I thought we could all do comfort foods this year. So here's a list that could work:

-3 families can sign up for homemade soup, or (just let everybody think it's homemade soup.) -3 families sign up for sandwiches. -3 families sign up for salad. -3 families sign up for nice bread. -3 families sign up for vegetable/fruit trays. -And 3 families sign up for cheese balls and crackers.

I have an idea for Christmas cookies and candy, but I'd like to share that later. I'll provide coffee and cream, tea plates, plates, cups, and silverware. If some could bring instant chocolate packets that would be great. Some of us might have to sign up for a couple of things. So please start posting so we can all know who wants to bring what. Let me know what you think. (I'll make homemade Mexican chicken soup). One family down two more to go.

Love, Elvia

A bit of sad news to pass on to the family

It is with a broken and sad heart that I share the news; Veronica's mom passed away last night. Mrs. Moreno got sick and went to the hospital 2 weeks ago and every day her condition got worse until last night she finally passed away. Scott would like Veronica to rest this morning, she did not get home until 4:30 this morning and will spend the afternoon with her family. If you would like to send Veronica a card feel free to call me and I'll be glad to give you their address. Communicating on and with computer will not work as their computer has just broken down.

Mr. and Mrs. Grimsley Claus invite you......

Mr. and Mrs. Grimsley Claus would like to let everybody know that they are invited to the North Pole Party at our home. Christmas will be at Jim and Elvias for everyone who would like to attend. The Party will be a potluck style event so be sure to bring lots of christmans treats. If you have any questions feel free to call Jim or Elvia at anytime. Also, bring a DVD or treat to play the exchange game. Hope to see you all Christmas Eve.

What's New in November?

It's been a while since we had a new post so I decided to pose this title question.  "What's new?"  Also, what are your plans for Thanksgiving?  Any new traditions?  Is there anyone out there who is going to burn down their hou, er, I mean, deep fry a turkey?

And have you seen this video of this crazy trick play in football?
