Congrats!!!!!

As we can see from the message Gabe left, Maria and David have a new arrival. Bree Haven Grimsley (I hope I'm spelling that right), what are we going to do with a girl running around now? I haven't heard exactly when the baby was born, and how Maria's doing so we hope all is well. Someone needs to send me pictures so we can share them here. Well, congratulations to you guys, take care of that baby. We can't wait to see her, the sooner the better.
If any of you people around Porterville get a chance I'd love to have pictures up, thanks.

From what I'm hearing it sounds like the baby was born on the 27th, and she looks more like Dave.

Cathi's Bridal Shower

Cathi is having her bridal shower on Saturday, August 6th in Terra Bella. All the women in the family should have already received invitations. The theme of the shower will be bed and bath. Kaycee's Kids

Susan sent me great picture of Quartnie, Codey, and Cage. We hope the kids are all doing well.

Connor's Birthday

Saturday Night Connor had a little birthday party. He just turned three and had lots of fun swimming and running bases. I didn't get too many pictures, but this was a good one of him wearing his new Dodger hat. Happy Birthday little dude!

Can you guess what Caroline is having?

Okay the betting is over, and the news is that Caroline and Jim are having a . . . BOY!!!!

That makes the ninth boy great-grandchild. We should start getting the batting order ready now. Well congrats Caroline and Jim!

Another Baby!

I got a phone call from Arturo today. He wanted to see how everyone was doing out here. He'll be coming out in September for the wedding. He also gave me some news on how the family is doing out there. Juan left for the Air Force today. He'll be in Texas for a while, so let's hope all goes well there. Amanda is in Arizona and is expecting a baby in January. So congratulations Amanda, we all wish her the best of luck.
Arturo tells me that he's pretty busy right now working with youth in Maine, doing a job he really enjoys. I'm sure he'll have much more to tell when he makes it out here. That's about all the news I have for today. Take care everyone, and say a prayer for Uncle Carlos.

Tagboard

I added a tagboard to the side of the website so that people could post small messages or quick reminders without having to log on. It's super easy to use, and it just makes it nice so that we can have one more easy way of staying in touch. Well try it out and leave a message.
I had to write a post about it, so that people knew it was there. And I needed an excuse to put up another picture of Paxton, this one with his Great Grandpa Art and Uncle Carlos. This was taken the day before Jack was born.

Jack Darrel Craven

Congrats!!! Little, or I should say Big Jack Darrel Craven was born July 11th in Porterville. He weighed in at 9 pounds 14 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long. The dude is super cute and a great addition to this round of great grandchildren.

This picture was taken Sunday, June 26, the first of the three cousins Everett, Paxton and Connor. There will be many more such photos, as this generation increases.

Suggestions??

I'm looking for ways to do more with this site. For me, it's pretty easy to post pictures all day, but I would like to more input on what people think we could do here. I've been hoping that more people from a wide representation of our family would post news here, and so far that has happened to a small extent.

What would you guys like to see here? Any features that we could add to make this site more useful? I know that there's more going on with the family than we have announced here, and basically what I would like to see is more news from everyone. If you have pictures, you don't even have to send them to me anymore, you can put them in a post by using the little picture icon, in the composing template (I don't know if this works for Mac).

Well, that's all, I just wanted people to let me know what we could do here to make this a more useful tool for our family. Please leave any suggestions in the comments, or log in and create a new post. Thanks

Fun, Busy Weekend

It was a busy weekend in Porterville & Woodville. Maria had her baby shower, which I hear went well (sorry, I have no pictures). Later that day Cathi and I went to Woodville where Paxton was able to meet several members of his family. Grandpa Art and Carlos decided they liked him. Carlos was unable to come up with a mean nickname, so I guess you could say that went well. Later he got to meet his Aunt Elvia, Scott and Veronica, and little Mateo. Paxton wasn't really aware of all the people, as he really just slept through all the visitors.
It was nice to be home for a little while, and I'm glad Paxton got to meet more of his family.

Let us know if there is any news to report and like always I'm hoping to get more pictures from all the families so I can post them here. I would really like to get 4th of July pictures from everybody, so send me whatever you can. Okay well, take care everybody.
