A GROUCHY CHRISTMAS POEM by N.G.

SALAD, SALAD AND SOME BREAD
TO MUCH SOUP WILL MAKE YOU DEAD
I WANT CANDY, I WANT CAKE
CHRISTMAS TREATS FOR GOODNESS SAKES

WHERE'S THE TURKEY
WHERE'S THE HAM
I'D EVEN SETTLE FOR SOME CHRISTMAS SPAM

A BUNCH OF SANDWICHES
ON LITTLE TRAYS
AREN'T SO MERRY I MUST SAY

I WANT COOKIES
I WANT FUDGE
FOR CHEESEBALLS AND CRACKERS I WON'T BUDGE

WHAT ABOUT TAMALES
WHAT ABOUT PIE
THIS CHRISTMAS MENU WILL MAKE ME CRY

EMPANADAS ARE WHAT I CRAVE
AUSTIN POWERS SAYS
OHHHHHHH BEEEHAAAVE

MY LITTLE TUMMY WILL GROWL ALL NIGHT LONG
DARYL SANG THE COFFEE SONG
DARYL SANG THE COFFEE SONG

I'M JUST KIDDING ABOUT WHAT WE EAT
SEEING THE FAMILY IS WHAT'S REALLY NEAT
CHRISTMAS TREES AND CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
WARM THE HOME THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT

KIDS ARE PLAYING
HAVING LOTS OF FUN
LIKE WE ALL DID WHEN WE WERE YOUNG

THE HOUSE IS FILLED WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
IT'S ALWAYS SAD WHEN THE EVENING ENDS
GAMES AND LAUGHTER AND FAMILY FUN
MAKE OUR CHRISTMAS SECOND TO NONE

I REALLY DON'T CARE WHATS ON MY PLATE
FOR CHRISTMAS DAY I JUST CAN'T WAIT
I KNOW THIS POEM WAS WAY TO LONG
I HOPE DARYL SINGS THE COFFEE SONG
I HOPE DARYL SINGS THE COFFEE SONG

Happy holidays everybody!! It's going to be another fun one! And please, somebody sneak in some fudge! Oh and Daryl I'm not kidding about the Coffee Song! And to make up for my Christmas poem ill leave it to the professionals.

CHIRSTMAS BELLS- HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old, familiar carols play
And wild and sweet
Their words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Till, ringing, singing on its way
The world revolved from night to day
A voice, A chime
A chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Then from each black, accursed mouth
The cannon sounded in the south,
And with the sound
The Carols drowned
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And in despair I bowed my head
"There is no peace on earth," I said
"For hate is strong
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead; nor doth he sleep!
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men!

great job on the poem, and I also hope someone sneaks in fudge. You can't have christmas without chocolate, it's in the Bible! (check the book of Mark)
