July 12th Retirement Party For Grandma Grimsley

Hey Everybody, we have set the date for Grandma Grimsleys Happy Retirement Party for Saturday, July 12th. We will probably start the BBQ and food around 4 but feel free to come early and hang out with us. Hope that you can all make it out and help congratulate my mom and help her celebrate a well deserved new chapter of her life. We are all proud of her and are excited that she can finally kick her feet up and relax while enjoying her favorite activites such as; cleaning the house everyday, gardening, cleaning the yard, mowing the lawn, babysitting all the grandkids, painting the house, fixing the roof, painting the walls, walking the dog, feeding the dog, chasing the dog, pruning the trees, raking the leaves, taking out the trash, cooking us dinner, cooking us breakfast, washing the dishes, mopping the floors, scrubbing the toilets, and so many more exciting activites she can't wait to do haha. Anyway, we hope to see you all Saturday July 12th to help us Celebrate our moms Retirement. If you have any questions feel free to call Nathan or Laura. Hope to see you all there.

*GOAT PATROL* Congratulations Ron! Have fun Gaurding Scraps!!

It's a hard academy but you did it! CONGRATULATIONS and good luck guarding the worst inmate in prison! Officer Scraps!!!!!!!!!!

Camping Trip

SO HERE ARE SOME PICTURES FROM THE SMITH CAMPING TRIP TO THE CARSON RIVER. IT WAS FUN EVEN THOUGH THE FISH WERE SCARCE.

MORE LATER. . .

A Huge Bust!

These photos were taken during a police raid in Shafter as they arrested the remnants of Scraps gang ae they tried to hide from authorties. The round up was extensive, though there were no reported casualties.

LOOK AT THIS AWSOME PLATE OF RETIREMENT

Congratulations Mrs. Grimsley!!!
hey everybody guess who's going to retire June 31, 2008! We are going to start planning a retirement party for Grandma sometime in early July. We would like to invite everybody to come help celebrate! We are just starting to work out the details and would like to hear feedback from everybody about their availability. I will keep everybody posted as soon as we work out all the details and dates.

Fishing Report

So how's the fishing going this year??
I went up with my brother in law to White River a few weeks ago and caught one, before I lost my only hook. Shaun caught 3. The water was a little low, but they are still stocking. This weekend we're taking our trip to the Carson River so fishing should be pretty good. I think I'll get my money's worth for the license this year.
Has anyone else been out yet?

Graduation!

Today Connor graduated from Kindergarten in Porterville. His class did a Hawaii/Luau program and it was really cute. He was also presented with the All Around Scholar award for his class. We had a good time.

Here is a picture of Connor and a couple of his buddies.

And another of Connor and his teacher Elizabeth Madrid. She's a Woodville girl herself and her Kindergarten teacher was my mom. We had a great year with her, and I hope Mateo gets to be in her class next year.

Breaking News: Scraps Apprehended!!!

Early this morning FBI agents working closely with members of Homeland Security were able to arrest Officer Scraps as he was seen in Wasco Ca. A massive manhunt is still in the works to round up the rest of guild. This is the biggest fat cat to be arrested in American in the last 75 years. During the arrest 3 officers were injured and 1 is currently in critical, but stable condition.

Reese's Baptism

So yesterday Reese was baptized here in Selma at the Methodist Church. She behaved very well for a girl getting holy water sprinkled on her head. Here's a picture of us after church in our Sunday attire.

Memorial Day

How's everyone doing out there? I just wanted to survey what people were doing on Memorial Day. For some reason I don't have to work that day, it's the first time I can remember having the day off. So what do normal people do on this day? The weather out here should be great that day so I'm thinking BBQ maybe. Well, let us know what you're up to.

Shameless plug number 483 -- I restored a picture taken of the old walkway at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and added it to the Meneses Shop in a few items.

We are Blessed

We can't thank everyone enough for taking time out of their Sunday to enjoy our home and yard with us. We were excited and pleased to share this day with you.

Love, Elias and Susan

Official Update

Hell Meneses Clan!

This is Little Art. I want to let you know that I am officially done with graduate school, and my new name is now:

Arturo T. Meneses, M.Ed. (Don't worry, I will only pull that one out when I am losing an argument!)

Second of all, to celebrate my graduation from grad school, my apendix decided it needed to come out. Luckily the doctors found it in time, and had it removed. I am now at home recovering with the support of loving friends and colleagues.

I hope all is well!

Love,

Little Art

Cinco De Mayo dance

Connor got to perform at his school on Friday for a Cinco De Mayo dance. The first dance they did was called "La Baila de los Viejitos". Or the dance of the little old men. It was really cute. All the kindergarden boys wore masks and walked with canes. Then he got to dance one more time with a cute little girl.
Here are a couple of pics. Hope to see some Mother's Day Pics soon too!

Just a Note

Hello all out there. I saw Art's message on the tagboard, and wanted to say congratulations. What are you going to be doing now?? I also wanted to let anyone and everyone know that they can be invited to become authors on the blog or they can use the Meneses log-in. I did send an invite to Art today. If anyone needs help posting or has questions about the blog let me know.

Also what are the thoughts about a Dodger-Giant (Giant-Dodger, whatever makes you happy) game in September??

I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!

I just can't take this officer Scraps and his crew of bandits anymore!!! I am now making my family consume all cats on site. I suggest you all follow suite and end the madness!!!
