The Random Question of the Month

Halfway through the month, here it is! The random question for April.

What is the most surprisingly good thing you've ever eaten?

Our Spring Potluck

Here a a few pictures from the potluck on Saturday. It was good to see so many family members together, especially Uncle Art and Beth, and Uncle Juan. There are a few more pictures that I would like to add but will have to save for another post.

Susan's getting married!

Wedding date is scheduled for April 18th at 5:00 pm with a dinner reception and dance following. If you are planning on being there for dinner and have yet to RSVP please call Aunt Maria at (661) 746-3772. We need a head count for the caterer. Hey, its free food, how can you resist? Hope to see you there!

April Fool's

My April Fool's day joke is over. But beware! I hear there will be vodka at Susans wedding. Can I request the macarena already?

Where were from?

Many people have asked me this and I have been embarrassed by not really knowing. Mark helped me out and let me know that grandma was from the state of tamaulipas. I've been having fun reading up on the state and checking out a map of it. if anyone else wants to see one of the maps you can check it out @ http://www.travelamap.com/mexico/tamaulipas_I.htm My next question that I was hoping for help with is, does anyone know the town grandma was from??? and what town in texas was grandpa from?

Thanks and anything else anyone wants to add or ask would be great

March Madness

Here it is! March Madness is happening now. Games start on Thursday morning so hurry and get those brackets filled out. As of right now we'll just be playing for bragging rights, but feel free to have sidebets or we can get a pool going if people want, but that's hard to do being spread out. I have sent out invites to all the family email addresses I have. If you didn't get one and would like to join in on the bracket manager send me an email. Brackets are due by 11:00 AM ET/ 8:00 Woodville Time, March 19, 2009.

If you want to beat the odds, the darkhorse is North Dakota State, nobody will see them coming.

Here are some pics of Our Hawaii trip and Happy Birthday Mike!

The Random Question of the Month

The random question of the month was randomly posed in the tagboard. Let's move it up here and see what people have to say about this one:

"If you could changes places
with one family member
for a day, who would it be and why?"

Family Tree

Hey everybody. The family tree project is coming along. It will be some time before I'm all done, but I think it will be pretty cool when it's all done. Anyone who is interested in helping just let me know, as soon as it's done I'll post the website so everyone can check it out.
Thanks
Mark

Susan's Shower

Hey ladies just a reminder that Susan's bridal shower is right around the corner. If you haven't already called to RSVP, feel free to RSVP here! Reminder the shower is Saturday, March 7th at 3 pm at Aunt Maria's.

Oh The Books You'll Read!

Back by popular demand (or at least requested by Caroline), The Book List. If you don't recall this is the spot where you can review and recommend books that you've read lately. For some reason, people want to know what you've read, what you're reading, and what's good. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that books have no previews, which would surely make it easier for people to pick 'em out. That being said, I'm sure there are folks out there who have read interesting books and would like to share information here.

I'll change the sidebar links in the next few days, but for now here are some of the recent recommendations:

The Traveler's Wife
I Am America: And so can You
Through Painted Deserts

Here is the old list
